German Tobruk Bunker Appingedam
On the N360 from Appingedam to Delfzijl at the height of the Uitwierdermaar is a Tobruk. The Tobruk is from Appingedam on the left side of the road between the N360 and the bridge of the rails transition.
The bunker was usually manned by two people and served as an observation or machine gun nest with a mortar standard. The structure was as for stand-alone structure and as a part of a larger bunker.
