Memorial Crew Lancaster Bomber General Cemetery Grafhorst

On the General Cemetery in Grafhorst are the War Graves of the crew of a Lancaster Bomber who was killed.
In memory of this crew, there is a poem by Gerrit Tuinman and the Plaque hangs at the cemetery.

The tekst says:
Remember oh human that these six.
For us once jumped into the breach.
When Germans marched through our country.
And our country and people dishonored.
They came with a flight from Canada.
And fell from the sky above.
That is how they have their young life.
Given for the Netherlands and the people.
This is the wish of you and me.
May God have mercy on their souls.

Gerrit Tuinman (1879-1963)
