H.K.B. 7/980 Kjököen (589) was a German coastal battery, built between April and May 1941. The main armanant is composed of four 10cm K17/04 guns. In 1943, Kjøkøy was extended with two 88mm Flak pieces. After the war, the battery was modernized by the Norwegian army.

It currenty lies within a recreation area. The regional museum of Fredrikstad organises guided tours here also.
