Maginotlinie - Ouvrage Pont Saint Louis

Pont Louis is a blockhaus that defended a mobile roadblock at the border crossing. In June 1940, the garrison, consisting of a lieutenant and seven soldiers, held back the Italian advance for six days until the armistice on June 25, with the help of the Cap Martin ouvrage. The armament consisted of a 37mm anti-tank gun and a twin machine gun.
