Maginot Line - Casemate Hardifort
This casemate was part of the French Maginot Line. This casemate, built in the Flandres sector, is part of the second line. Construction started late 1939 early 1940 and only the concrete work was completed.
The foreseen armament consisted of:
two loopholes for a 25mm anti-tank gun
- 2 loopholes for an 8mm Hotchkiss machine gun
- 2 loopholes for a light machine gun
- 1 GFM dome (uninstalled)
