Stützpunkt Leo - Vf2a - Gruppenunterstand

This Stützpunkt was part of the German Atlantic Wall (Atlantikwall).

The full name of this type was: Vf2a - Gruppenunterstand (splittersicher, Hoyerbalken).

At this rather large Stützpunkt was the observation of Stützpunkt Makrele. The presence of the typical bunkers for the fortress cannon betrays the presence of two 4.7 inch fortress guns, model PAK 36 (t). In 1943 the armament also consisted of a Czech 8th inch field gun, a Belgian 7.5 inch field gun, 1 tank turret with 3.7 inch gun, two mortars and 10 machine guns. The Stützpunkt was manned by the 8th Company of Battalion II / 36.
