Stützpunkt Hecht - 669 - Schartenstand

This Stützpunkt was part of the German Atlantic Wall (Atlantikwall).

The full name of this type was: 669 - Schartenstand für Feldgeschütze (60°) ohne Nebenräume.

This battery has been occupied by several different units. In 1942 by B Battery, 304 Infantry Division. In February 1943 it was replaced by K Battery, Artillery Regiment 344, 182. Infantry Division. A few months later, in May, this has already been changed by the 6th Battery, Artillery Regiment II 18. Luftwaffen-Feld-Division.

There were four French fieldhowitsers model 155mm sFH 414 (f). The secondary armament consisted of two 20mm Flak's. But here you see no fire control bunker. This was at the eastern harbor pier at Stützpunkt Horst.
