Memorial St. John's Cathedral

On 13 August 1944, during the Warsaw Uprising, a Borgward IV (heavy demolition carrier) exploded near the St. John's cathedral, which destroyed a large part of the building instantly. Today a plaque, attached on the outer wall of the rebuilt cathedral, commemorates this event. A part of the original Borgward IV tank track is also immured and can be found below the plaque.

Note: Thus the information given on the plaque is partly incorrect, it wasn't a Sd.Kfz. Goliath which exploded.
