Camp Butler National Cemetery

The National Cemeteries in the U.S.A. are used for war graves, graves of U.S. military personnel, veterans and their spouses but not exclusively so. There are also special state veteran cemeteries.

Camp Butler National Cemetery contains war graves of the First and Second World War and the Korea War. It is also used to bury veterans of the World Wars and other wars. In 2008, there were in total 21,607 graves on this cemetery.

Camp Butler National Cemetery contains the burials of 30 German POW's of the Second World War.

Camp Butler National Cemetery contains the graves of the following people, who fought for the United States of America and who gave their lives in the War in Afghanistan and/or Operation Enduring Freedom:

21 September 2010 , Staff Sergeant Joshua David Powell, aged 25
03 November 2010 , Corporal James Chad Young, aged 25
