Fishermen Memorial Egmond aan Zee
This monument commemorates the fishermen from Egmond aan Zee who died during the First World War.
The following is inscribed on a plaque:
THE HEAVILY DEVASTATED
EGMOND
TO ITS SONS
IN PEACEFUL LABOR
REMAINED AT SEA
DUE TO
THE WAR OF 1914
The monument was created by sculptor Leendert Bolle and unveiled on June 22, 1922.
