Gefangenen Durchgangslager Sicherheitspol: Bastion Zamojska

Fort Zamojska was built between 1825 and 1831. During the Second World War it served as Gestapo prison where a great number of people were tortured and interrogated. Between 1942 and 1943, mass executions took place at the fort. An average of 8.000 people died here.

The fort today:
It is currently a memorial place and museum.
