Memorial Portowo Hill

This hill was scene of heavy fighting on 14 June 1944, between partisans and the retreating German army. Some 600 German soldiers and 120 partisans fell at this battle.

The hill today:
A memorial place and war cemetery is located on top of the Portowo hill to commemorate this battle and the fallen.
