Commonwealth War Graves Municipal Cemetery Vught

On the North Eastern part of this cemetery are four war graves that are maintained by the Commonwealth War Graves Commission. Four British soldiers lay here to rest who died in 1944 during the operations surrounding Vught.Three of them, from the Royal Armoured Corps, 1st Northhamptonshire Yeomanry, got killed on October 25th when the tank they were in got hit by German guns. A day later Vilmo Savelli got killed, soldier of the regiment Black Watch of the Royal Highlanders.

Private Vilmo Savelli, 14273036, age 22.
