Fort bij Edam

The "Fort bij Edam (Fort at Edam)", model B, was built in 1908-1913 as part of the Stelling van Amsterdam (Defence Line of Amsterdam, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site).

The fort was mobilized both in 1914-1918 and in 1940. During World War II, the Germans used the fort and after the war, collaborators were imprisoned here.
