About 3 kilometres south of the battlefield, along the old road Brussels-Charleroi, the farm Caillou is located. This is the place where Napoleon spent the last night before the battle and where he received his highest officers in the morning for a staff meeting. Since 1951 it is a museum, where mostly the battle from a French perspective is displayed.
