Butte du Lion
You can climb the Butte de Lion (Lion's Mound) via the visitor centre. The artificial hill was erected during 1823 and 1826 and towers approx. 45 metres above the battlefield. Once you have climbed the 226 steps to the platform, you will have a beautiful view of the battlefield. For orientation purposes, a couple of panels have been placed, showing how the troops were stationed on 18 June 1815.
