Rossomme Farm

The farm Rossomme was located about 1500 metres south of La Belle Alliance. After the inspection of the troops had taken place before the battle, Napoleon retrieved towards Rossomme. He probably did this because he was feeling sick and was in pain on 18 June. However, from here it was impossible to lead the battle, because he could not see the battlefield. It was not uncommon, however, that he would give his higher officers command to lead the fights. When he returned to the battlefield in the afternoon, the battle was almost over and he could not turn the tide.
