Memorial Halifax HR799

The text on the memorial is:

In remembrance of our liberators.

In the night of 22 June 9143, during World War Two, an English Halifax bomber crashed close to this spot. The aircraft was burning after it had been hit by a German fighter. It exploded when it crashed. Six crew members bailed out in time. Two crew members stayed in the aircraft and perished.
