Spanish Lighthouse Corregidor

The first lighthouse on Corregidor was built in 1836 by Spaniards. A bigger tower was built in 1897 and was used to guide U.S. submarines in 1941. It was destroyed during American bombardments in 1945 because of its importance as viewtower. The present tower is a reconstruction.

Nearby is the restaurant where daytrippers with Sun Cruises eat their lunch.

On the left is a trolley bus used to drive visitors around the island, which is a series of now hulking remains of former US military barracks and headquarters.
