Memorial 3d Parachute Battalion

In the Parish Church of Saint Mary and Saint Nicolas is this memorial plaque for the 3rd Battalion, the Parachute Regiment. The text on the plaque is:
3rd Parachute Battalion 1941-45
this Memorial, unveiled on the 13th October 1991, the 50th Anniversary of the Battalion's formation is dedicated to those who gave their lives while serving in it and commemorates the lasting links of the Battalion with the people of Spalding.
