The 'Maple Leaf Memorial' consists of a Canadian acer (maple) and a dimension stone memorial stone.
The inscription on the memorial stone reads:
"THIS TREE WAS PLANTED
ON 29 DECEMBER 1945
BY LIEUT. GEN. SIMONDS
COMMANDER OF THE
IIE CANADIAN ARMY CORPS
WHICH LIBERATED THE NETHERLANDS."
