War Memorial Aston Tirrold and Aston Upthorpe

This memorial inside St. Michael and All Angels Church commemorates the residents of Aston Tirrold and Aston Upthorpe who were killed or missing in the Great War (World War I) and World War II.

When he returned from serving as Chaplain with His Majesty's Forces in France and Flanders Lumley Green-Wilkinson, Rector of this Parish and Myfanwy his wife, did restore this Transcept to its former use as a Chapel in Thanksgiving to Almighty God for his safe return and in memory of these men of Aston Tirrold and Aston Upthorpe who gave their lives for King and Country in the Great War 1914 - 1919. This list was commenced August 1914 by the Mercy of God hostilities ceased on November 11 1918.
