Mobilisation Museum "Weest op uw hoede"

The museum tells about the mobilization of the Dutch army on August 29, 1939 and the associated May days of 1940. In addition, there is room for the story of the grandfather and father of founder Pim Monné, who served respectively on the IJssel line near Zutphen and in the Dutch East Indies at the Government Navy. It is a museum with a story. On display are a number of dioramas 1: 1 such as a sergeant voluntary landstorm air watch service on the church tower, a cavalry officer with his horse, a sergeant of cyclists on his bicycle, a doctor in his consultation room somewhere in the Netherlands, to scale including the battle on the Maas between Katwijk and Mook, skaters in the mobilization winter and a lot of original material from this period.

The museum is open a few times a year and on request. Entrance is free.
