Canadian Memorial Carpiquet

This memorial is for the Canadians who fought in Operation Windsor on July 4-5, 1944 as they attacked Carpiquet airfield.

The text reads:

English translation:

"North Shore" is the North Shore Regiment from New Brunswick. The "Royal Winnipeg Rifles" (who led the attack) and the "Fort Garry Horse" are both from Winnipeg, Manitoba. "The Queen's Own Rifles" is from Toronto, Ontario. "Le Régiment de la Chaudière" is from Quebec.
