Jewish Hospital Berlin

In this hospital, that was built in 1914, 800 to 1.000 Jews survived the Second World War. A part of the hospital was used as field hospital by the Wehrmacht. In 1944 a transit camp was also situated here, from where a couple of transports of Jews to Auschwitz took place. Nowadays it’s still a hospital with a Jewish identity. A commemoration plaque on a wall outside tells the history.
