Lancaster Memorial Texel

On 15 February 1944, Lancaster ND363 PM-K crashed on this location.

The memorial is symbolic for the 189 Allied crewmembers of planes who were killed on and around Texel during the Second World War.

The memorial mentions also Eugene Darter of the US-Airforce, who was killed on Texel on 16 December 1943.
