Memorial 327th FA Battalion - 84th Infantry Division

In the course of the evening of 22 December 1944, the 327th Field Artillery Battalion arrived from the surroundings of Aachen. They brought their guns in position in this sector to support elements of the 84th Infantry. The 84th Infantry was situated between Marche and Hotton. Day and night the heavy 155mm Howitzer guns harassed the German panzers in Verdenne.

The marker on the chapel wall has been dedicated to the 327th Field Artillery Batalion of the 84th "The Railsplitters" Infantry Division.

Inscription:
In tribute to the gallant soldiers of the 327th FA Battalion - 84th Infantry Division who took part, during the Battle of the Bulge, in the liberation of our towns and villages.They stayed in Baillonville from December 22, 1944 to january 3, 1945.
