Fort Variselle

This Italian fort in France was built from 1877 to 1883 and it was in use during the First World War. In 1910 the fort was used to test the resistance of some walls to new bullets. The firing tests caused the destruction of the front of the fort.

In the Second World War the armament was dismissed and the fort was used as barrack for the soldiers.
