Commonwealth War Grave St. Peter Church

The west wall of St. Peter Church has a cinerarium containing five sets of cremated remains and each one is recorded on a bronze memorial tablet. These tablets are set in the shape of a cross.

The earliest tablet refers to Cedric William Pepper, 2nd Lieutenant Somerset L.I., youngest son of William Frederick and Harriette Helen Pepper, born January 11 1895, died October 21 1915. Story unknown.

Accompanying that memorial is another from the Second World War:
Frederick Foyle Pepper, Pilot Officer R.A.F.V.R., born July 31st 1922, killed in action July 19th 1943.
