Commonwealth War Graves St. Andrew Churchyard

St. Andrew Churchyard contains 2 Commonwealth war graves from the First World War and one from the Second World War.


One of the war graves concerns the Foord family. Together with the parents, the 2 sons share the same grave.
Alfred FORD enlisted in Eastbourne with the 2nd Battalion of the 1st Division of the Royal Sussex Regiment. He was killed in action at Mons on October 30, 1914. He was 35 years old.
Herbert FOORD died as a prisoner of war in Turkey in June 1916 at the age of 35.
