Ship Wreck "USCGC Duane (WPG-33)"

The USCGC Duane (WPG-33) was an U.S. Coast Guard and U.S. Navy cutter. The ship conducted escort missions and patrols during the Second World War. On 14 June 1941, she rescued 46 survivors from the torpedoed British tanker Tresillian. In 1944, the ship participated in Operation Dragoon. USCGC Duane was sunk as artificial reef on 27 November 1987.
