The three Catholic Priests: John Prassek, Eduard Müller and Hermann Lange and Pastor Karl Friedrich Stellbrink were beheaded on 10 November 1943 in the detention centre (Untersuchungshaftanstalt) in Hamburg. They were convicted for openly criticizing National Socialism.
At several locations in Germany these four martyrs of Lubeck are commemorated, like here at the town hall in Lübeck.
