This memorial commemorates the employees of the LVR Clinic (Sanatorium) Bedburg-Hau who died or went missing in the First World War. The four-metre-high pyramid-shaped monument with a German eagle at the top was crafted by Jupp Brüx and unveiled in 1929. On the stone plaque are a war cross (in the shape of the Iron Cross) and olive branches with the text below:
In memory of those who fell in the World War
and the names of the 21 employees who died.
