This Plaque commemorates three railway employees from Alkmaar that were killed in the Second World War.
This were:
A.J.C. Hoep, Engine Driver. He was killed on October 14th, 1942, when after arriving at Obdam his train was attacked by low flying aircrat..
J. Kusters, Trainee Engine-Driver. He was killed on March 3rd, 1943, when the locomotive he was standing on was attacked by aircraft between Obdam and Heerhugowaard.
H. Porte, Junior Engine Driver. was killed on August 5th, 1944 during an attack at Jelsum.
