Memorial Lancaster W4169

The text on the plaque is:
In the night from 13/14 September 1942 at 03:15 hrs during WW2 the crew of the Lancaster mkI crashed behind the 't Hinkelt Farm.

Six of the seven crew members of the 44th Rhodesia squadron RAF perished. Sergeant Goodyer died later while he was a Prisoner Of War.

With this memorial we will remember them.

C.N. Lovegrove - 19 jaar - (Air Bomber)
D.N. Huntley (Wireless Operator)

This memorial was unveiled by ms Trees Doorn - van der Weerd and mr Ben Jonker on 14 September 2011.
