Memorial Killed Germans
On Theberton cemetery is a former grave for 16 crewmembers of the L48 Zeppelin, which was shot down on 17 June 1917 by a plane of the 37th Home Defence Squadron RFC based at Wormingford. Sixteen of the crew perished, 3 survived
They were later exhumed and reburied at the German war cemetery at Cannock Chase.
