Korean War Veterans Memorial Washington

The Korean War Veterans Memorial in Washington commemorates the 54,246 Americans and 628,833 UN soldiers who died during the Korean War. A patrol of 19 life-size and lifelike American soldiers in capes , is enclosed by a marble wall in which 2,400 pictures are engraved of soldiers . The monument which was built in a triangle shape , opens onto a pond , called the Pool of Remembrance. The monument was unveiled on July 27, 1995 and is seen as one of the most beautiful war memorials in the country.
