American War Grave Rusthof

At the Cemetery Rusthof in Oud-Leusden is an American War Grave from the Vietnam War.

To our knowledge this is the only war grave from the Vietnam War in the Netherlands.
It is the grave of Staff Sergeant Fred Mitchell Baker of the US Air Force, who was killed on July 13, 1972 .

F.M. Baker from Ohio was not killed in Vietnam , he died in the Netherlands in an accident , possibly during his leave .He is buried in the Netherlands at the request of his wife, who is Dutch .
