Bach Mai Airfield
This former airbase in Hà Nội was built as military airfield in 1917. French units stationed at the airfield participated in the Franco-Thai War (1940-1941). All remaining French airplanes were destroyed during the Japanese invasion of Indochina in 1945. Bach Mai Airfield remained an important airbase during the Vietnam War.
