This museum is dedicated to the Sinchon Massacre, a mass murder of North Korean civilians during the Korean War. It remembers the deaths of over 35,000 people in a series of events occurring from 17 October to 7 December 1950, when this area was occupied by the United States and UN troops. Other American crimes against humanity are also shown in the museum.
The museum shows everything from a North-Korean point of view. Investigations show that the Sinchon Massacre was committed by both Communists and anti-Communist vigilantes. The American troops failed to prevent the massacre, but did not participate themselves.
