Tombs Église Saint-Louis-des-Invalides

This church is the burial site of several French generals and senior officials. The most famous of them all is Napoleon Bonaparte. Napoleon Bonaparte was buried here in 1861. His tomb (Tombeau de Napoléon Ier) is still an important tourist sight.

Adolf Hitler and his entourage visited Les Invalides and the Cathédrale de Saint-Louis-des-Invalides on 23 June 1940.
