This church was heavily damaged by German air raids during the Second World War and has deteriorated and is in ruins. The local community have kept the church in that condition as memorial.
The church can trace its origins back to 1106. On the night of 24-25 November 1940, during the Bristol Blitz, the church and surrounded areas was badly damaged. There are memorials to civilians killed during WW2, those evacuated from the city and Victoria Cross winners from WW1 on or in front of the ruins.
