MKOK Museum

MKOK stands for Military K-blocks (MK). The military museum is established in one of the blocks. OK then stands for Oskar-Chapel, a chapel build for soldiers in the fifties. The museum is an excellent supplement to the collection of the museum of the camp of Beverlo. This museum displays much photographic material and documents, whereas the MKOK-museum especially displays vehicles and historical material.

This camp was a camp for political prisoners who were send to concentrationcamps later on. In September 1944 the Germans handed over the command of the camp to the Belgian Rijkswacht in trade for German prisoners of war.
