Memorial Battle of Ap Bac

This memorial commemorates the victory in the Battle of Ap Bac (Ấp Bắc), on 2 January 1963. It shows Viet Cong forces shooting down helicopters and destroying armoured vehicles.
In the fights, 18 Vietcong-soldiers, 83 ARVN-soldiers and 3 American soldiers were killed. Five helicopters were shot down and 9 other damaged.
