Con Son Island Prison
This prison in Côn Đảo was built in 1861. In the 1960s, during the Vietnam War, prisoners in this prison were abused and tortured and many died. The prison was also known for the "tiger cages" for the prisoners.
The prison on Côn Sơn Island was closed in 1975.
