The Flag Tower of Hanoi (Cột cờ Hà Nội) is a tower in Hanoi and is one of the symbols of this Vietnamese city. The tower was built in 1812 and is one of the few buildings that survived the French period. The French used the tower as a lookout point for soldiers. The flag tower is part of the citadel of Hanoi.
