Memorials Wellington R-2980

There are several plaques with information on Vickers Wellington R-2980 'R for Robert', which was recovered here from the loch on 21 September 1985. In 1940 the bomber was forced to ditch during a training flight. Whilst flying through a snowstorm there was an engine failure. The Wellington has been restored and is on display at Brooklands.
