This terrain was used by the Dutch N.S.B. (National-Socialist Movement) as congress-area, where speaches for large audiences were held.
Nowadays the terrain is a camping-site. Of the original buildings only a large wall, the "Wall of Mussert", remained.
The wall and terrain are built almost exactly in the center of the Netherlands. This is located a few 100 meters from the current location.
In November 2017, the campsite owner applied for a demolition permit for the wall. Several historians, publicists and museum directors wrote a letter to Minister Ingrid van Engelshoven to declare the wall a national heritage. She hereby requested that the demolition permit not be passed for the time being until the investigation by the Cultural Heritage Agency was completed. In February 2018, the minister finally decided that the wall would be designated as a national monument and could therefore not be demolished. At the moment (2022) there are plans to carry out a restoration of the wall to turn it into a visitor center.
To visit the wall, it is possible to park at Het Uilenbos (Beukenlaan 11, 6741 KB Lunteren) and then take a walk through the camping site.
