Soldiers' Gate Memorial

This memorial, within Manchester Victoria Station, commemorates the soldiers who took their final train journey from Victoria in World War I, never to return.
The holes corresponds to the numbers of fallen who are buried on each cemetery in Belgium and Northern France.
