Memorial for the American Pilots

This memorial was erected on 30 May 1925 an commemorates the 17 American volunteers of the Polish-Soviet War (1919-1921). Many of them joined the Kościuszko Squadron; one of the most successful Polish squadrons of the war. Of the seventeen who arrived in Poland, fourteen returned alive to their homeland. Three American volunteers were buried on this war cemetery.
